West Hawaii 2016 Pantry and Free Meal Schedule

SENIOR PRODUCE PROGRAM

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program’s (SNFMNP)  popular “Senior Produce Program” which is administered by The Food Basket, Hawai`i Island’s Food Bank, will begin accepting registrations on June 1, 2016. Applications will be available online at www.hawaiifoodbasket.org (see below) and assistance will be available from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at The Food Basket warehouse at 40 Holomua Street in Hilo. Applications and assistance will also be provided by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at 127 Kamana Street, Room 5. For West Hawaii assistance, please call 808-322-1418.

First come, first served as spaces are limited to 1347 Seniors island-wide – so register early!

The Hawai`i Island United Way (HIUW) fund is a major contributor of The Food Basket Inc. Through their assistance we are able to fund specific programs such as the Senior Brown Bag Program and the Emergency Infant Formula and Baby Food Program.
